THE AUDIT
The audit
Is this a real audit?
Yes. Your statutory audit is performed by Veriq, our partner audit firm and a licensed Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. It follows the same professional standards and oversight as any other German audit firm.
Who signs our audit opinion?
A named Wirtschaftsprüfer at Veriq signs and is personally accountable. No AI system signs, concludes or issues an opinion.
Will banks, investors and authorities accept it?
Yes. You receive the same statutory Bestätigungsvermerk your current auditor issues.
What does the AI do, and what doesn’t it do?
Agents collect, reconcile, test and document, and they flag what needs attention. Your auditor plans the audit, makes the judgments and signs.
Who is responsible if the AI makes a mistake?
Veriq and your Wirtschaftsprüfer. AI output is never assumed to be correct: every flagged item and every conclusion is reviewed by a person.
Do you really test every transaction?
Yes. Full-ledger testing is the default. It supports professional judgment rather than replacing it.

Price
How much does an audit cost?
It depends on your size, structure and accounting system. After a 20-minute call you get one fixed price.
How do we pay?
One fixed price for the audit, agreed before we start. No hourly billing.
Can the price change?
Not because the audit takes us longer or because we have more questions. That risk is ours. The price only changes if unforeseeable extra effort arises on your side, for example incomplete or late records, and only after we have agreed it with you.

Time and process
How much of our time does it take?
About 40 minutes: a 20-minute call and around 20 minutes to connect your data. After that you approve the annual accounts.
Do we keep our Steuerberater or bookkeeper?
Yes. They keep doing your bookkeeping in the same system. We connect to it, so they receive fewer questions, not more.
What happens if you find a problem?
Issues surface as the agents run, not at year-end. Your auditor contacts you when a decision is needed.

Switching
How do we switch from our current auditor?
Your shareholders appoint Veriq for the next financial year. We prepare the paperwork and handle the handover with your previous auditor.
When is the best time to switch?
Before the audit of your next financial year begins. If an audit is already under way, we talk through your options on the first call.
DATA AND AI
Data and AI
Do you write to our accounting system?
No. Access is read-only.
Is our data used to train AI?
No. Your data is never used to train or fine-tune models.

Tinytrace builds the technology. Veriq, our partner audit firm, is the licensed Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft you contract with for your audit.
Can other audit firms use Tinytrace?
Yes. The platform our auditors use every day is also available to audit firms for their own engagements.
